The day-before-the-first-of-october feeling: for midterms

i think the Fall fell while I was falling behind
and now i want to fall asleep
in the autumn sunshine
and forget this fallen world
and how much it hurts
to fall
and
have to get up again.

i wish i was a leaf today.
