hands
pricked by stubble
dry mouth, dusty hair
back bent, neck sunburned...
gleaning, gleaning
Take heart! Your kinsman-redeemer has seen your labor;
he knows your struggle: each grain a kindness to bitter old Naomi,
each day a love-offering to your dead husband.
He sees how freely you sacrifice.
He prizes you in his heart.
Be of good cheer, Ruth -
better days are coming!

It evokes to much joy to see the redemption pattern come alive in each story of the scripture.
It seems we'd get tired of this beauty, but it awes me every time.
Livin the metaphors of scripture is like walking down a waterfall. it's never the same, but always beautiful and fast.
How did you know I needed to remember this story?
Also, you inspire me to use more than words in my writing.
